2016 Cobalt 262 subwoofer not working

Subwoofer on my 2016 Cobalt 262 isn't putting out any sound. Other speakers are working like a charm. Anyone ever run into this?

I'll assume you check the settings, so no need to mention that. Have you checked the wiring and the actual subwoofer for damage? If you can find an identical or at least a similar one you can swap it just to see if it's subwoofer related or something else

The settings were my first stop, so I need to check the wiring next. I don't have another subwoofer handy to try that with. Is there a simple way to test for a signal at the speaker wires using a multimeter or some other tool?

You can use a multimeter to measure the AC voltage at the subwoofer wires when playing a test tone. If you don't detect a signal, then the problem is likely earlier in the system

Thanks for the clear advice on testing the subwoofer wires. @GalaxyObsession pointed me in the right direction, and your tip on using a multimeter for AC voltage signals makes things clearer. I'll check for a signal using a test tone at the subwoofer over the long weekend, as this might be my last chance before the season ends.
