Who makes the best batteries?

Getting ready to replace the starting and house batteries on my cobalt and figured I'd ask, who actually makes the best marine batteries these days? I've seen everything from AGM to lithium being hyped, but real world feedback means more to me than spec sheets.
I'm looking for something dependable that can handle weekend use without dying halfway through the season. If you've had great (or terrible) luck with a certain brand or type, I'd really appreciate hearing about it, this could also help others in future

Think about your budget, how much space/weight matters in your Cobalt, and your current charging setup
I'd personally lean towards a solid AGM for starting and consider lithium for house if the budget allows, but only after confirming charging compatibility

AGM all the way, don't even thing about others. For specific recommendations, Odyssey and NorthStar are excellent choices and I'll throw in Interstate and Lifeline as solid budget minded options. Like @GrumpyCatFan said, there are many factors that can determine the size and price, but as long as you aim for one of these manufacturers you shouldn't have any problem.

do you notice any big difference between those brands? Also, how long do they usually last for you before needing a swap? Just trying to get the most bang for my buck!

I had a great experience with the Odyssey PC2150s. They are great at holding charge and they don't make problems when sitting for a bit.

I decided to go with AGM batteries on my last boat after those cheap flooded ones failed me halfway through the season, never doing that again. Sure, the upgrade was a bit pricier, but I haven't had to worry about them in two years, even after a long winter storage. That peace of mind was worth every penny.
